Drawing & Talking

Emotional Logic is a personal development tool used by people of all ages to improve emotional intelligence in difficult situations. It makes sense of unpleasant emotions. People can then harness that emotional energy to face life’s challenges, build emotional resilience and embrace change.

Emotional Logic

Drawing and Talking Therapy is the number one alternative to CBT and direct talking therapies, that can often be confronting or limiting in the processing of pain or trauma. As an attachment-based therapeutic intervention, Drawing and Talking Therapy is designed to complement CAMHS and other specialist therapies.

Drawing and Talking allows individuals to discover and communicate emotions through a non-directed technique, setting it apart from existing solution-focused and cognitive-based therapies and interventions.

Staff and group supervision

Effective supervision is crucial for supporting staff who work with children.

Firstly, supervision provides a structured platform for staff to reflect on their practice, ensuring they adhere to policies and procedures designed to safeguard children.

Moreover, supervision offers emotional support, which is particularly vital in emotionally demanding roles like child protection.

From a regulatory standpoint, supervision ensures compliance with legal and ethical standards. It helps monitor adherence to child protection protocols, assess risks, and implement corrective actions promptly.

Attachment Based Mentoring

Attachment Based Mentoring is a relational approach to supporting children with their social and emotional development. The approach includes both universal and targeted support, particularly for children who may have had adverse childhood experiences, those who are struggling with their emotional health and well-being and those who are finding it difficult to engage with learning and the social aspects of school.

Art Based Therapy

Different people will have different experiences of creative therapies, but in general they aim to:

  • Allow you to communicate thoughts and feelings that you find difficult to put into words
  • Help you make sense of things and understand yourself better
  • Give you a safe time and place with someone who won't judge you
  • Help you find new ways to look at problems or difficult situations
  • Help you to talk about complicated feelings or difficult experiences
  • Give you a chance to connect with other people
